Independent research collective

About PROJECT_33

PROJECT_33 is a small, independent research effort interested in the patterns that emerge at the edges of digital systems — the seams where ordinary network behavior becomes legible as material worth studying.

Origin

The collective formed in 2024 around a shared interest in the texture and topology of internet-scale infrastructure. Members participate by referral and contribute to a small body of in-progress work that rarely surfaces in public forums.

Practice

The work draws on field practice from network operations, observational analysis, and archival research. Output is irregular by design. When a piece is ready for circulation it is released through existing correspondence — never through outreach or paid promotion.

Affiliations

We are not affiliated with any commercial entity, academic institution, advocacy organization, or state actor. We accept no external funding. We do not solicit collaboration through this site and we maintain no public membership roster.

Correspondence

This site is unattended. Active correspondents — please continue to use existing channels. New inquiries are reviewed annually; intake reopens in the fourth quarter and is by referral.
